PRESS RELEASE MARS UK PETCARE TO SPONSOR PETS AS THERAPY’S JUNIOR CLUB Pets As Therapy are proud to announce that MARS will be the official sponsor of the Pets As Therapy Junior Club. Denise Wilson the Pets As Therapy Development Manager and Junior Club Co-ordinator said “these young people are an inspiration. Youngsters want to make a difference and help others in the society in which they live. You only have to see these Juniors weaving their magic as they tell people about the wonderful work PAT dogs do”. The Pets As Therapy Junior Club is open to anyone under the age of 18. You don’t even have to own a pet. Since its inception in 2003 it has gone from strength to strength and members of the Junior Club promote the work of the Pets As Therapy Charity, spreading the word about the service provided to Hospitals, Hospices, Residential Homes and many other establishments. Being so impressed with the Pets As Therapy Junior Club, celebrity chef and Strictly Come Dancing Semi-finalist James Martin became the Club Patron four years ago and on hearing the news said “It is fantastic news that MARS will be sponsoring the Pets As Therapy Juniors”. The sponsorship from MARS will enable the Pets As Therapy Junior Club to expand and become more active throughout the U.K. Chief Executive of Pets As Therapy Maureen Hennis said “We are delighted the hard work and enthusiasm of the Pets As Therapy Juniors has been recognised by MARS and we look forward to working closely with them in the coming year”.
